Hamilton’s 15th Annual Seedy Saturday, hosted by Green Venture and Hamilton Public Library was held on February 7th from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Central Library (55 York Blvd).
What is Seedy Saturday?
Seedy Saturday is run once a year, typically in February. This event is co-hosted by Green Venture and the Hamilton Public Library to provide the community with an opportunity to discover the joys of backyard gardening, local food production, pollinator-friendly gardens, and sustainable practices!
Dive into a world of heirloom and organic seeds, and be part of a growing movement towards a greener future. Celebrate and connect with Hamilton’s vibrant gardening community and explore a diverse array of vendors and exhibitors.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Free Seeds for All: Pick up seeds for the next gardening season. You can also contribute to the swap by bringing seeds in packed and labelled envelopes. No seeds? No problem! Everyone is welcome to join the fun.
- Silent Auction: Bid on exciting items!
- Ask the Experts: 1:1 Free Mini Consults from a large selection of home energy and green infrastructure professionals.
- Vendors and Exhibitors: Explore a variety of vendors offering quality seeds and gardening supplies, including heritage and heirloom varieties.
- Speaker Series: Learn new gardening tips and techniques through engaging workshops and demonstrations.
- Networking Opportunities: Meet fellow gardeners and experts to share tips and build lasting connections.
