Katie grew up in Dundas and currently lives in Beasley neighbourhood. She has an undergraduate degree in Geography and Planning and has experience tree planting and working with local non-profits. More recently, she has been bringing together these two skill sets through community tree planting projects and is now working as the Urban Forestry Program Assistant at GV. She aims to help densify Hamilton’s urban tree canopy in creative and hands-on ways. She cares deeply about her loved ones and community. In her spare time, Katie hangs with her dog, bikes, plays basketball and makes ceramics.
