The spark bird that inspired Kayla to become a life-long student of nature was the mourning dove, which has changed her world ever since. Now she is pursuing a degree in Environmental Management at the University of Guelph, after earning a diploma in Ecosystem Management at Fleming College. At Green Venture, Kayla is passionate about promoting ecological prosperity at the EcoHouse and across Hamilton, as well as connecting people to the environment and sustainability practices. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys story writing, bird watching, foraging and exploring natural pockets.
