Join us at Laidlaw United Church on Thursday, July 23, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, for an exciting Urban Gardening Club session!
This is a special site in Hamilton that is home to some great gardens that soak up excess rainwater! This session will start with a presentation about the importance and benefits of collecting rainwater.
This presentation will be followed by a tour on site where Alexia, Rain Ready Hamilton's Program Lead will talk about the different features on site and how they can be added to your property to make it "Rain Ready"!
Following this tour, the Urban Gardening Club will be leading a session to steward the gardens on site.
During this session, volunteers will focus on weeding while learning about the importance of ongoing garden stewardship and helping maintain a welcoming green space for the community.
Whether you're new to gardening or have experience, everyone is welcome. Come meet fellow community members, learn new skills, and make a positive impact!
