In the environmental non-profit world, we think a lot about air quality. We run children’s programs about it, encourage people not to idle and to use active transportation, and advocate for cleaner industrial practices and more stringent regulations; but with wildfires running rampant in recent years, air quality has often been at the forefront of all of our collective minds. Air quality is always a big and important topic, but when you can step outside your home and smell the smoke from fires that are hundreds of kilometres away it becomes much more tangible.
Join us at our Air Care webinar to delve deeper into air quality, including what contributes to it (both positively and negatively), how it impacts human health and how to stay safe and healthy when air quality is poor, how we can influence positive change for cleaner air, and where to find up-to-date information about local air quality and what it means for us.
Our Education Team is engaging and supportive, and looks forward to chatting with the Hamilton community at this webinar. We will leave lots of time for conversation and questions - feel free to send them to us in advance or ask them during the webinar. We also invite you to share your own experiences with air quality in Hamilton or elsewhere, but will not put anyone on the spot.
The meeting link will be sent to registered attendees the week of the webinar. We hope to see you there!
