Take action this Earth Day! Join us on Wednesday, April 22, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM for an urban gardening workshop and stewardship stroll. Did you know Green Venture created a network of small gardens on formerly paved street corners along Barton Street? These gardens are pocket-sized parks that provide homes for native plants and pollinators in a neighbourhood that lacks tree canopy cover and greenspace.
This inclusive event welcomes everyone to explore the beautiful native plant gardens, stay active, and keep Barton St. blooming. Together, we'll pick up litter, tend to the plants, and celebrate the beauty of our local environment. Join us as we celebrate our beautiful home!
What to Bring / Wear: Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring a reusable water bottle. Gardening gloves and all tools will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own gloves and tools.
Transportation + Parking: Green Venture encourages active and sustainable transportation. Transportation via public transit is available, Route #2, Barton.
