Welcome to the homepage for Nature Kids, Green Venture’s nature-based, drop-off program for children aged 5 - 11, with space for “Helpers” ages 12-13! Nature Kids aims to help children get outside, engage with nature, and stay active.

Nature Kids is always free of charge, with priority given to children who are part of one or more equity-deserving groups. The program runs each season, and we are outdoors all year round! The Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons run weekly after school, and the Summer season runs for one week as a half-day day camp. We share program dates and registration details here when registration opens. Feel free to contact us by email at [email protected] with any questions. If you would like to be added to our list to be contacted when we open registration each season, please join our mailing list.

The Winter Season of Nature Kids will be running from February 6th to March 6th. This session will be running weekly on Thursdays from 4pm to 6:30pm. For this season we will be partnering with the BGC and running nature kids at their Ellis location which is located at 45 Ellis Ave, and accessible via the 1,2,3, & 41 buses.

Registration is now open, click here to sign up!

* Please note that the upcoming Winter 2025 season of Nature Kids may look different from previous sessions, as we test out new methods of program delivery! *

Our program runs in English, but we have a Spanish registration form available for those who need it. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions or to request support in other languages.

If you or your child is over the age of 14 and looking to earn volunteer hours, you can find more information and apply to volunteer via the volunteering section of our website.
