Weekly EcoHouse Stewardship
EcoHouse spans 2 acres of native plant gardens, rain gardens, a community vegetable garden, demonstration eco-lawn patches, permeable pavers, and more, requiring a lot of maintenance and upkeep! Green gardening volunteers support various projects, and other tasks at the EcoHouse education center site. No tools or experience necessary!
Volunteers will:
- Learn about biodiversity and invasive species, gaining valuable insights into our local ecosystem
- Make a tangible difference in our local ecosystem by contributing to its preservation
- Perform gardening tasks such as removing invasive plants, planting natives, creating new demonstration gardens, sowing seeds, mulching, watering, and so much more!
-Volunteers can learn more about topics like fungi, ecological gardening, the importance of low-impact development sites, invasive vs native and species identification
-On rainy days call for seed sorting, which helps to promote native plant growth.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and family to connect, contribute, and learn how to support green infrastructure!
