Team Building Outdoors

Length: 1-3 hours

Max participants: 50

Get your team outside and give back to the community!

Includes a training for your staff on biodiversity, invasive species removal and other ecological topics
Outdoor team building activity that may include:
- Removing invasive species; helping to weed, mulch, water, and tend to plants

EcoHouse Workbee and Retreat

Max participants: 30

Length: 2-4 hours (half-day) or 4-7 hours (full-day)

Use the EcoHouse property for a retreat day with staff. 3 rooms that fit 8-10 people each, includes full kitchen, bathroom and outdoor seating for 40+. Break up the meetings by getting your hands dirty and removing invasive species, participating in a self-guided tour of the property, or playing lawn games.

Includes:

All tools and materials for outdoor maintenance and ecological training by staff
Basic office supplies such as markers, pens, notepads, sticky notes
Complimentary tea and coffee
Low-waste refreshments (for an additional fee)

Tasks and activities could include:

Removing invasive species at EcoHouse
Repairing garden beds
Reflective walk on the property
Bird watching
and more!

Smoothie Bikes

Cycle for the smoothie! Our smoothie bikes convert the power of human motion into power that makes our blender spin. Learn about the ecological footprints of food, sustainable transportation, health active living and sustainable energy in a uniquely engaging way. We provide fresh, healthy ingredients that make a delicious and nutritious refreshment after an interactive spin on our bike.

Lightning Bike

The power generated by the spinning wheels charges an electric box which can power small electronic devices. Our lightning bikes provide a tangible demonstration of energy changing form.

Adopt a Site: Green Venture’s Corporate Responsibility Initiative

Adopt a Site invites local businesses and corporations to commit to 2–3 stewardship events at a chosen green space throughout the summer or support this cause through a donation. These efforts support biodiversity, rehabilitate urban spaces, and promote environmental health.

Many of the sites we’ve transformed are located along Barton Street, where native pollinator and rain gardens play a vital role in restoring the local ecosystem.

Green Venture has:

Depaved over 1,585.5 m2 of asphalt/concrete

These sites also contribute to our cities' resilience to climate change, and we need your help to maintain them so they can continue offering their benefits and providing accessible green spaces to the community."

Book an event or party at EcoHouse

Book a unique venue today! EcoHouse can be rented for your special occasion. From birthday parties, bridal showers, to family gatherings and corporate events and meetings, your gathering could take place at the historical Veevers property in East Hamilton.

Green Venture offers birthday party and tea party packages that include a host, games, eco workshops, a private party room, access to all of our beautiful gardens and playing fields, personally created party invitations, and more. These packages are an excellent way to celebrate graduations, retirements, baby showers, and more.

We offer unique, fun, and educational parties you won’t find anywhere else.

Birthday Party at EcoHouse

Staff were so helpful in organizing my daughter's 5th birthday at the EcoHouse!

We really appreciated the care and suggestions that went into the planning, and there were lots of thoughtful touches and ideas for low-waste options.
