LID Design Charette with the Urban Gardening Club

This event has already taken place.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a FREE event.

Thinking about designing or implementing your own LID garden design but don't know where to start?

February 27 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm Urban Gardening Club is back at Pinch Bakery and Plant Shop.
Address: 183 Sherman Ave N, Hamilton, ON L8L 6M8.

Workshop description:
Low Impact Development is a practice that uses techniques that mimic the natural environment and allow rainwater to be absorbed where it falls. This includes rain gardens, permeable driveways, and rainwater collection systems.

Join us for our Low Impact Development Design Charette where we will use a real-life example to walk you through a site analysis and things to look for when designing. This will be followed by a hands-on activity where you will work alongside other community members to create your own solutions and design to the example provided. We will then review and provide feedback for each of the designs.

This event is perfect for those who have all the information but don't know where to start!

There is limited capacity to ensure everyone is getting the most out of this hands-on workshop.

Bring your creative ideas and let's chat about design!

Refreshments are available for purchase throughout the workshop.
